Everything you need to know after you choose TMBR: how your building is covered, how we look after your information, and how to look after your building.
TMBR Warranty
Warranty period: one (1) year, beginning on the date your TMBR building is delivered to you or, where construction or installation is completed on site, the date it is completed and turned over to you for use. This date is the official start of your TMBR warranty.
TMBR warrants the construction of every TMBR building, including saunas, garden suites, studios, sheds and recreational and commercial structures, for one (1) year from that date.
What’s covered
During the warranty period, TMBR warrants that your building will be free from defects resulting from TMBR’s workmanship, construction and installation. The warranty applies to the following, where supplied and installed by TMBR:
- Structural framing and construction
- Interior and exterior finishes
- Doors, windows, trim, benches, counters and other built-in components
- Roofing and exterior weatherproofing
- Insulation and building-envelope components
- Fasteners, connections and installation
- Other materials and components supplied and installed directly by TMBR
If a covered construction defect is identified during the warranty period, TMBR will assess the issue and, where it is determined to be a warrantable defect, repair or replace the affected component at TMBR’s discretion and at no cost to the original purchaser.
Manufacturer-supplied equipment
Heaters, heat pumps, controls, lighting, electrical and plumbing fixtures, appliances and other equipment manufactured by third parties may be covered by separate manufacturer warranties, and remain subject to the terms, conditions and warranty periods set by their manufacturers.
TMBR will reasonably help you identify the applicable manufacturer warranty. Failures caused by a manufacturing defect in third-party equipment are not covered by TMBR’s construction warranty unless otherwise stated in your sales agreement.
What’s not covered
This warranty does not cover damage, deterioration or defects resulting from:
- Normal wear and tear or the natural aging of materials
- Natural characteristics of wood, including minor checking, movement, colour variation or dimensional changes from normal changes in temperature and humidity
- Improper operation, maintenance, cleaning or care
- Failure to follow TMBR or equipment-manufacturer operating and maintenance instructions
- Excessive moisture, condensation, inadequate ventilation, or failure to properly ventilate and dry the building after use
- Alterations, repairs, electrical work or modifications performed by others after delivery
- Misuse, abuse, vandalism, accident, impact or neglect
- Damage caused during relocation or transportation after the building has been delivered and accepted
- Site conditions, foundations, utilities, electrical services, landscaping, drainage or other work not supplied or performed by TMBR
- Extreme weather, flooding, fire or other events outside TMBR’s reasonable control
Making a warranty claim
Warranty concerns must be reported to TMBR within the one-year warranty period and within a reasonable time after the issue is discovered. Please send a description of the concern, along with photographs or other information we reasonably request, to info@tmbrgroup.com or call 780-983-3000. We will review the claim and, where necessary, arrange an inspection to determine the cause and whether it is covered.
Construction defects and covered warranty work are TMBR’s responsibility to assess and perform or coordinate. Please don’t undertake repairs to a suspected warranty issue without contacting us first, except where immediate action is reasonably needed to prevent further property damage.
Limitations
TMBR’s obligation under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective construction, workmanship or materials covered by this warranty. The warranty applies to the original purchaser and the original installation location unless otherwise agreed in writing by TMBR.
This warranty is intended to clearly set out TMBR’s construction warranty obligations and does not limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

TMBR Group Inc. (“TMBR”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through tmbrgroup.com and in the course of doing business with you, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, postal code or project address, and details about your project when you fill out a form, email us or call us.
- Project information: site details, drawings, photos and other information you share while we quote, design, permit, build or install your project.
- Website usage information: basic technical data such as your browser type, device, pages visited and approximate location, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use your information
- Respond to your enquiries and provide quotes, options and pricing.
- Design, permit, build, deliver and install your project, and provide after-sales and warranty support.
- Communicate with you about your project by phone or email.
- Improve our website and understand how visitors use it.
- Meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We will only send you marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
- Service providers who help us run our business, such as our website host (Squarespace), email and document tools, and our project management and accounting software.
- Project partners involved in your build, such as engineers, permitting authorities, delivery and crane operators, electricians and other trades.
- Kamu Sauna, our sauna design partner. If you enquire about a sauna through the Kamu Sauna website, Kamu Sauna’s own privacy policy also applies to the information you submit there.
- Authorities where required by law.
Some of our service providers may store information outside Canada, in which case it may be subject to the laws of those countries.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies to make the site work, remember your preferences and measure site traffic. You can control cookies through the cookie banner on our site and through your browser settings.
How long we keep it and how we protect it
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including any warranty period and our legal and accounting record-keeping requirements, then securely delete or destroy it. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect it.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, withdraw your consent to certain uses (subject to legal or contractual limits), or ask questions about how we handle it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it was most recently changed.
